Ingredients of honey in general, the proportions vary depending on the type of honey:
- ca. 38% fruit sugar (fructose)
- ca. 32% dextrose (glucose)
- ca. 20% water
- ca. 5% more polysaccharides
- ca. 5% vitamins (B1, B2, B6, C, H)
- minerals (potassium, calcium, copper, iron, sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and other trace elements)
- amino acids (proline, leucine, phenylalanine, alanine, histidine, isoleucine, glutamic acid, arginine, aspartic acid etc.)
- organic acids enzymes (enzymes)
- flavoring
- inhibins (antibacterial substances)
- pollen
Description: This is a pure natural product. The honey comes from flowers of Central European meadows and fields and therefore it is ideally suited for ant species which are native there.
Usage: The food tubule can be put as a whole into the formicarium or an amount as required according to the colony size can be put into a feeding dish. Amount of feed should be consumed within ca. 3 days, otherwise there's a risk of molding. Also the feeding dish should be cleaned before refilling.
