These Pheidole build there nest mainly in wooden material. These Pheidole smythiesii is one of the few Pheidole who activily visit Aphids (Mycromyzus kalimponginsis) and also tend them. The hostplant is mainly the butterfly lily (Hedychium coronarium) |
