Description:
Camponotus coloratus shares the same distribution then Camponotus substitutus but prefers habitats with more vegetation. It can be found in closed forest and second growth vegetation while C. substitus is more common in disturbed areas. C. coloratus is often larger then C. subsitutus with longer legs. They can be very aggressive and show high activity outside the nest.
