Our ant farms as a nest for your ants
Ant farms are used by ants as a nesting area or by grain-collecting species as a granary. They are combined with a so-called arena area in which the ants are fed and can put down their waste.
We have divided our ant farms into four different sizes for a better overview:
S = 6mm for small species such as. Myrmica sp.
M = 10mm for medium types such as Lasius sp. and Formica sp.
L = 20mm for large species such as Camponotus sp. with cork and gypsum inserts also for smaller ant species M - L
XL = for e.g. Leaf cutter or weaver ants or with gypsum inserts also M - L ant species
The sizes of the ant farms do not refer to the external dimensions, but to the distance between the insides (adapted to the size of different species of ants).
